Weiming Chu, born in Shanghai in 1970, is a renowned Chinese drummer, artist, and educator. He currently holds the position of professor of jazz drums at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music, where he also mentors master’s students.

Throughout his career, he has collaborated with a diverse range of musicians, including Faye Wong, Quan Li, Wei Wei, Karen Mok, Wakin Chau, Jie Zhang, Xinzhe Zhang, Yanbin Hu, Yuchun Li, Changjing You, Song Xu, Liangying Zhang, and many others.

He has actively participated in major music festivals, concerts, and TV programs, accumulating a wealth of recording and performing experience. His contributions to the music industry include numerous outstanding musical works. As a highly respected educator, he has nurtured and mentored numerous drummers who are currently making waves on the stage.
