ABBA Voyage, Let Drum Beat, Baque Luar

”I’m a Brazilian percussionist, rhythmist and drummer based in London. My fascination for rhythm and music started as a child when I started taking tap dance lessons and listen to my family Records collection. During my teens, I studied percussion and drums at ULM – Universidade Livre de Música Tom Jobim and Popular Percussion at ECA University of São Paulo. In order to continue my studies, I was mentored by the two of my biggest inspirations, Simone Soul and the iconic Brazilian percussionist, Airto Moreira.

I moved to London in 2008 and since then I have started working with diversified artists like Mo Pleasure (Earth Wind & Fire musical director, Michael Jackson, George Duke, Ray Charles), Raf Vilar, Joviale, Ivy Chanel, Anaiis, Laura Groves, LyricL and much more. I had the opportunity to play in big venues such as the Jazz Cafe, Ronnie Scotts, Somerset House, Alexandra Palace, SouthBank, Sadlers Wells Theatre, 606 Club, O2 Arena and the BBC Maida Vale studios in London, around Uk like Wales, Scotland, Cornwall, Birmingham and also Europe like Italy and Belgium.

I also recorded for artists including LyricL, Holly Roxanne, Westerman, Luke Smith, Ivy Chanel, Raf Vilar, Joviale and Toco.

As my personal projects, I co-founder a group called Let Drum Beat, an all-female band combining original composition with Afro-Brazilian rhythms, and released our debut album Lua Cheia in 2020.

Also, Baque Luar a percussion and vocal collective which have just been released two Singles.

I’m currently playing percussion with ABBA Voyage, the new virtual concert residency by the iconic Swedish pop group ABBA. The concert are held in a purpose-built venue at the Queen Elizabeth Olympic Park in London, officially called the ABBA Arena.”
