After 3 years studing drums in North California in the early 90´s, Jose became member of a multi gold record hardcore/rap band Def Con Dos.

At the end of the 90´s he started touring and recording with many top pop acts like Andres Calamaro, Fito y Fitipaldis, Miguel Rios and now Leiva.

He also enjoy teaching, doing about 15/30 hour every week, and many drummers comes from all of Spain to study with him.

Jose Bruno has written 2 books. One about the most influencial drummers and thier best recordings “Baterias y Canciones” (260 pags) and the second one is a tour diary “Diario de un Fitipaldi”.

A few years back he put together his own studio Plan B, and kept very busy tracking drums online every week for acts from all over the world.

These days a live concert with Leiva is out on Sony Music.
